New Jersey Outdoors Program
Currently scheduled OWNJ and OFNJ workshops are listed below.
The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife offers outdoor skills programs throughout the state that are designed to enable participants
to learn about and enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits, including fishing, shooting sports, hunting, birding, kayaking, hiking and more.
These beginner programs are geared toward women through Outdoor Women of New Jersey (OWNJ) workshops and toward families through Outdoor Families of New Jersey (OFNJ) workshops.
An introduction to the sport of ice fishing. The workshop will cover ice safety, staying warm and dry, targeting specific fish species, depth maps, ice fishing equipment, knots, bait selection, and technique. The ice portion of the workshop will be hands-on fishing, with filleting and camp cookery.

Registration is required for all OWNJ and OFNJ workshops.
Reservations are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Minimum age requirements may apply to workshops, as specified in the registration materials.
Licenses are required to be purchased for some workshops, as specified in the registration materials.
